We’ve all been there: You’re dashing from the house to the sauna or hot tub in just a swimsuit, freezing your knickers off as the next storm blows in. Or maybe the place you’re staying at comes with robes provided (fancy you!) but your white terrycloth robe looks exactly like everyone else’s, so it’s easy to walk off with the other guy’s robe by mistake, complete with his hotel room key and cell phone. Oops.
It was in one of those moments where we thought, hmm, maybe we should make a bathrobe? And yes, we’re Flylow and we’re mostly known for making outerwear for skiing. But we’ve never stuck entirely to our lane. (See: the ski and bike tuning canvas apron we made; or the gaiters, coming soon, that we stitched from scrap fabric; or the Remnant Tote bag that’s now a travel essential). We’re always coming up with a) useful, creative ways to solve a real-life problem for those who spend time in the mountains and b) solutions to use up some of the fabric and materials that ends up on our cutting room floor to reduce waste.
That is how the Wolfie Robe was born. Made from a plush, high-pile fleece, this isn’t your ordinary bathrobe. It’s got an oversized hood to keep your head dry on the go, spacious outer pockets (including a secured zip pocket) to store essentials, and on the inside, stretch pockets are designed to fit enough canned beverages for you and your friends (six, to be precise). The fabric is meant to be warm and dry quickly after your soak or shower.
